What success looks like in this role: Design and implement VPCs/Vnets . Define IP addressing schemes, subnets, and routing strategies within VPCs/Vnets Configure security groups to control inbound and outbound traffic to AWS resources. Manage DNS services using Amazon Route 53/Azure Traffic Manager . Implement site-to-site VPN connections for secure communication between on-premises data centers and AWS VPCs. Set up AWS Direct Connect/Azure Expressroute for dedicated network connections. Configure and manage Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs)/Azure App Gateway for distributing incoming traffic across multiple instances for high availability and fault tolerance. Use AWS CloudWatch and VPC Flow LogsNSG Flow logs to monitor network traffic and performance. Troubleshoot network issues using logs and metrics. Implement and manage Transit Gateways/vwan to simplify network architecture Create and manage VPC/Vnet peering connections to establish communication between VPCs/Vnets. Implement network security best practices using tools like AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall) and AWS Firewall Manager. Configure and manage network-level security with Network Access Control Lists (NACLs)/ security groups/NSG Understand Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for advanced networking scenarios. Configure BGP routing for VPN connections and Direct Connect. Utilize AWS services like Amazon CloudFront for content delivery and reducing latency Implement and manage complex traffic flows using Transit gateway/VPC Route tables and Azure UDR. Manage F5 bigip, PaloAlto and Cisco ASA virtual appliances in AWS and Azure. Configure/manage Cloud Native networking services. Create and maintain Network detailed designs and operating procedures. You will be successful in this role if you have: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cloud network engineering and 10+ years of network operations/engineering experience. Proficiency in cloud networking technologies on AWS and Azure Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with network security principles and best practices.
