Rite-Hite Holding Corp. Certified Welding Inspector JR101200 in Horn Lake, Mississippi
This is a Human Resources position located in Horn Lake, MS.
Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The incumbent is required to be well-versed in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, stick and flux-cored welding. Must be familiar with welding codes and standards, inspection criteria, and proper safety procedures. Developing and teaching lesson plans, exercises, and exams Help in developing new courses and programs, and reviewing course evaluations. Creating an engaging classroom environment and administering evaluations. Maintain trainee records, assessments, and track progress. Organize and maintain supplies and equipment to perform basic welding lab preparation and maintenance. Coordinate training with the training and production team. Reviewing and updating course materials, text, and course procedure sheets when updates are required or have been updated per OSHA requirements. Administer competency-based pre and post-assessment test to evaluate the training effectiveness.
Qualifications: Must hold a Certified Welding Educator (CWE) or a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and provide proof of certification through the American Welding Society (AWS). High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least 5 years of recent welding field experience is required. Minimum of 2 years of arc welding instruction experience. Minimum of 5 years of recent teaching experience or industry training experience or a combination of teaching at the college level and industry trainer experience maybe substituted, year for year, for recent welding field experience. Must be able to teach the workforce to read blueprints and layout material. Be able to provide detailed and technically accurate written condition and open inspection reports.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
