We're expanding the Food & Beverage leadership team at Horseshoe Bay Resort! With the opening of the new Summit Rock Clubhouse slated for March 2025, we are in search of a Director of F&B for Summit Rock and our Golf Outlets, including Slick Rock Golf Course and Cap Rock Golf Complex. These dining outlets run the gamut for food & beverage, ranging from classic-vintage country club fast casual dining to ultra-modern upscale eateries, so a diverse background in food & beverage is paramount.

General Work Schedule:

Full-Time, 5 days (40+ Hours) per week

Required Certifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of Hospitality/Restaurant Management experience, fine dining experience valued.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, college degree in Hospitality valued.

  • Food Handler’s Certificate & TABC Certificate.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the insurance carrier required.

  • Must be computer literate, able to type 40 words per minute.

  • Knowledge of Food preparation and service.

  • Knowledge of Agilisys, valued but not required.

  • Encourage OSHA Hazard Communication Standard training and certification.

Definition:

Responsible for managing the daily operations of our flagship, ultra-luxury Summit Rock Restaurant and Pool as well as overseeing all resort golf F&B outlets. Service standards at The Club at Horseshoe Bay Resort and our resort guests dictate you take pride and ownership of the quality of service provided.

General Duties:

  • Supports and manages the Summit Rock F&B operations and staff, and all golf F&B outlets while working closely with the Resort Director of Food & Beverage and other resort departments.

  • Responsible for short- and long-term planning of all outlets, including the SR Restaurant, Pool Bar & Grill and other golf F&B outlets.

  • Responsible for hiring staff and striving to build a positive, supportive culture and environment, balancing extremely high standards and accountability with personal recognition and appreciation.

  • Develop and implement creative strategies for revenue enhancement and cost containment.

  • Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives. Manage within those approved plans.

  • Proactively plan, coordinate and manage special events and holiday functions.

  • Ability to take the initiative to run the outlets as a free-standing entity.

  • Communicates the importance of safety procedures and processes; ensuring associates' understanding and consistency of working safely.

  • Seek out guest comments and feedback and offer meaningful solutions to customer complaints.

Employment standards:

  • Requires flexibility of schedule, creativity, social and interpersonal skills, decision making ability, initiative and sense of urgency. These skills are required to address the daily items or issues which occur daily within the resort.

  • Strong management, coaching, organizational and follow-up skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite required.

  • Knowledge of various software programs, valued. Knowledge of Agilysys POS system preferred.

  • Requires a high degree of problem-solving abilities.

  • Requires excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • Ability to get along well with others, demonstrate flexibility and patience, and work as a team member.

  • Operate 10-key calculator by touch.

  • Must have a high regard for personal appearance and hygiene. Maintain proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant, enclosed toe and heel.
