Job Description

Creating schedules and routes for all team members

Distributing the paper work for the assigned jobs sites to the individual team members

Oversee that all team members are adhering to the schedules and routes created for them

Ensure that all members have valid and updated DOC's

Reviewing the logbooks of the team, making sure they are being filled correctly

Supervisors are expected to be the leadership of the satellite office, if any tech has an issue you are the first resource they should be contacting.

If any team members need to take time away from work it will be the responsibility of the supervisor to create a plan for work coverage.

Ensure that collected samples are being transported to the correct next destination, for some offices this may just include the transfer of samples to the courier, for other offices, this may include the shipping of some samples through FedEx.

The supervisor is the point of contact for QA and other departments if they need to reach out for inquiry in regards to that satellite office.

If sample events are being missed for any reason it is expected of the supervisor to inform client services and their manager about the miss as soon as possible. Additionally they should find out why the sample was missed, and if needed make adjustments to the routes or schedules

Supervisors are expected to have their own fieldwork to complete however most of the work for that satellite should be delegated to the other technicians allowing the supervisor to have office time as they have more responsibilities that the other technicians do not.

Supervisors will oversee the PT studies for their satellites, any technician can complete the PT studies or QC test, however it is the responsibility of the supervisor to oversee the testing and make sure it is completed within the allocated window of time.

Supervisors need to manage the equipment for their office making sure everything is calibrating and working correctly. (Meters, pumps, comps, batteries, etc)

Management of the lab's chemicals including the communication of expiration, storage, labeling, and disposal of said chemicals

Supervisors in satellite locations will be in charge of purchasing any office supplies needed for the building as well as communicating any building maintenance issues to management

Any fleet issues or vehicle maintenance needs to be communicated to management by the supervisor

Qualifications

 

  • Department of Transportation (DOT) Certificate is required for shipping hazardous chemicals within 90 days of date of hire.
  • A valid state issued driver's license to drive delivery vehicles is required as an employee with driving responsibilities.
  • Local, state, or additional client certifications may be required based on location and client request.
  • State and federal regulations regarding management of potentially hazardous waste facilities required
  • Reading maps and following directions
  • Operating a motor vehicle

Additional Information

Candidates within the commutabel distance of Horsham, PA are eligible to apply. This role will be a full time role, first hift (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Monday - Friday.

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business section, and geographic location
