SENIOR MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Horsham PA

$90-$110k with benefits

SUMMARY:

This is a proactive, hands-on role. Inventive and meticulous, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer implements robust manufacturing processes that result in high-quality products. Advanced knowledge of tool design and fabrication methods is required as well as other critical manufacturing engineer skills which include project management ability, commitment to quality, and familiarity with safety and environmental standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and install molding tool and assembly equipment.

• Study production and machine requirements.

• Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.

• Integrate disparate systems (e.g. equipment handling, transport).

• Resolve issues and delays in production.

• Train staff in new and existing processes.

• Collaborate with other engineers, contractors and suppliers.

• Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.

• Upgrade systems and processes with new technology.

• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to procurement, such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns.

• Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Manage non-standard requests to ensure high-quality service is maintained across all areas of the business.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasional travel may be requested for training and/or to support customer needs.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May supervise employees in the engineering department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of associate’s degree or training certificate in tool and die making.

• 10+ years of direct, hands-on experience in manufacturing setting is required.

• Must have previous experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar role.

• Significant experience with designing molding tool and manufacturing equipment.

Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.

• Above average proficiency in SolidWorks.

• Superior project management skills.

• Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
