Automation Implementation Specialist This position will be a member of the Bimbo Bakeries USA Value Chain Automation and Transformation Team which provides nationwide support for all supply chain operations. Team members work individually and in groups with local management teams to improve the supply chain operational efficiency of targeted distribution centers and plants. The team is also responsible for deploying supply chain technology and works closely with internal and external software/hardware development teams to develop the most efficient processes. Operational areas of focus include but are not limited to shipping, transportation, inventory management, materials handling equipment, staffing, network optimization, process automation and facility design. The person filling this role must be a highly motivated individual who leads with behaviors that encourage innovation, change, and teamwork. Key Job Responsibilities: Lead the onsite implementation activities for various distribution systems ranging from racking systems, VGV's, AGV's, articulating arms, gantry, etc. Support new facility openings ensuring the most efficient layout and proven best practices are in place and followed. Primary contact for the vendors onsite for the installations. Meet deadlines identified by the project manager. Deploy and train users on supply chain technology. Document, present, and train on operating procedures and best practices. Work with 3rd party providers in outsources BBU operations. Meet with potential outside vendors, assist with selecting vendors and direct them by providing a clear understanding of project objectives, limitations, and timelines. Use project management principles for planning, scheduling, executing, and controlling the implementation portions of the project. Eliminate waste of labor and material through the training and enforcement of product accountability procedures. Meet or exceed established safety, service, cost, and productivity goals. Contribute to and help maintain SOP's and the identification of best practices. 80% travel required. Must be able to support multiple shifts and some weekends during project launches.

Position Requirement :
