Robert Half Sr. Accountant - Funds in Horsham, Pennsylvania

Description

We are looking for a meticulous Sr. Accountant - Funds to join our team in the Real Estate & Property industry, located in the Horsham, Pennsylvania area. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting duties including the management of invoices, preparation of journal entries, analysis of expenses, and support in financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily approval of invoices in queue

• Prepare monthly journal entries related to accruing interest on debt and amortization of financing costs

• Conduct analysis on the General & Administrative Expenses at the fund level to identify key drivers for changes in performance, trends, and potential anomalies

• Maintain and compile required fund workpapers, including reconciliations to the accounting system, data completeness checks, and fluctuation analysis to support timely financial reporting

• Complete monthly tasks and reconciliations using BlackLine

• Comply with and follow rules of complex cash/intercompany structure

• Collaborate with the Transactions department to provide necessary information for recording dispositions

• Handle monthly ad-hoc requests and projects

• Assist with annual financial statement audit requests

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

Requirements • Must have at least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Real Estate & Property industry.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required.

• Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation is essential.

• Experience in bank reconciliations is necessary.

• Knowledge of general ledger management is required.

• Proficiency in recording journal entries is necessary.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.

• Must have experience with month-end close processes.

• Familiarity with Yardi software is preferable.

• Knowledge of BlackLine software is an advantage.

• Fund accounting experience is a significant plus.

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
