POSITION: Water and Sanitation Licensed Operator

DUTIES: Operating equipment: Use equipment to purify and clarify water, process sewage, and more Maintaining equipment: Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds, and other work areas * Monitoring: Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges * Testing: Collect and test water and sewage samples, and document and report test results to regulatory agencies * Adding chemicals: Add chemicals like chlorine or ammonia to disinfect water or other liquids * Following regulations: Follow regulations and ensure safety standards are met

REQUIREMENTS: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Must have a valid Driver's License * Must hold a current Class B Water License and a Class C Sanitation License * Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check * Weekend Plant Duty is a requirement of all Public Works positions and Public Works is considered part of the emergency response team for the Town of Hotchkiss. Employees must be able to accept on call status and respond within 20 minutes of Hotchkiss Town Hall

WAGE: $22.00 - $27.00/ Hour, based on experience.

SHIFTS: Full-time - 40 hours per week
