Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $22 hr

Schedule: mon- Fri 9am-6pm or 8am-5pm, or 7am-4pm

What’s a typical day as an Accounting Clerk I? You’ll be:

• Reporting to the HR/Accounting Manager and assisting within other departments as needed.

• Greeting scheduled and walk-in guests and assisting as needed.

• Collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales departments and Mexico facility as needed.

• Crosstraining to support office staff during sick and vacation time.

• Performing other assignments as requested by management.

• Matching vendor invoices received to packing slips in SharePoint and processing invoices in Syspro.

• Processing payables, bi-weekly and emailing remittance advices to Vendors.

• Maintaining vendor files.

• Preparing, posting, verifying, and recording customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.

• Creating invoices and credit memos accordingly; submitting to customers.

• Maintaining and updating customer files, including name or address changes, or mailing attentions.

• Identifying delinquent accounts, drafting and sending correspondence for past-due accounts and collections to request payment.

• Researching customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Accounting Manager.

• Generating and submitting monthly billing statements to customers.

• Copying, filing, and retrieving materials for accounts receivable as needed.

• Onboarding new hires, including background check, drug screening, and benefits enrollment.

• Setting up and managing employee files in HR system.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have customer/vendor support experience.

• Are proficient with MS Office suite, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and capable of becoming proficient with MRP ERP software (Syspro).

• Have professional communication, phone contact handling skills, and active listening.

• Are familiar with CRM systems and practices.

• Have strong attention to detail.

• Are customer-oriented and able to adapt/respond to challenging circumstances.

• Have excellent communication skills.

• Are able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• Are team-oriented and supportive.

• Are bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred).

• Have a strong work ethic.
