Description We are offering a long-term contract opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Houston, Texas. This role involves working with our accounting team in a fast-paced environment, primarily focused on handling accounts payable duties. The position requires strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with Sage 300 software and Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing a high volume of invoices weekly

• Handling check payments with precision and efficiency

• Collaborating closely with the team to ensure smooth operations

• Following the necessary approval processes for transactions

• Regularly updating and maintaining customer credit records

• Managing expense reports and overhead costs

• Utilizing Sage 300 software for various accounting tasks

• Leveraging Excel for intermediate tasks and pivot tables

• Applying general accounting knowledge for debits and credits

• Gaining industry-specific knowledge and learning from any mistakes made. Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience:

• 2-4 years in AP processing

• Full cycle AP processing

• Experience working in the construction industry preferred

• Sage 300 software experience preferred

• 100% onsite position
