Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk for a long-term contract employment opportunity in Houston, Texas. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team in the finance industry, working in an office environment. This role primarily involves processing customer payments, maintaining client relations regarding payment collections, and conducting analytical tasks such as reconciling cash application related variances and AR aging.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer payments and ensure accurate record keeping.

• Manage the Accounts Receivable Aging, ensuring timeliness of customer payments.

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash issues.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action on outstanding collections.

• Verify duplicate payments and liaise with customers for issuing refunds.

• Adhere to financial policies and procedures such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards for credit card processing.

• Participate in special Cash Application and Collection related projects, including support to external auditors.

• Utilize available tools to identify opportunities for optimizing Cash Applications, Collections, and other Accounts Receivable processes.

• Reconcile general ledger cash accounts to bank statements.

• Research remittance and transaction details to resolve payment variations. Requirements • Possess proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing procedures

• Proficiency in Cash Applications

• Experience in Cash Collections

• Knowledge in Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Familiarity with QuickBooks software

• Proficiency in SAP software
