This position is within KM's Transportation and Storage Services Department, reporting to the Manager-Business Processes. The Business Process Management Department includes responsibility for ensuring the Direct Access Request Tracking (DART) computer system is a reliable, stable, accurate and compliant system by establishing and implementing quality control steps focusing on system changes and events (both planned and unplanned). The DART system is the customer facing system used for transportation and storage services across all KM Interstate pipelines, Midstream assets, CO2 business and unique services. This individual serves as the liaison between the Information Technology (IT) development group and the business units and is responsible for the management of projects that include the analysis of complex business problems, development of user requirements, and implementation of cost-effective alternatives/system enhancements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage business user requests for changes and enhancements to the DART system.
  • Ensure all changes and system solutions are fully compliant with various North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) standards, FERC gas tariffs, and FERC regulations
  • Ensure business user requests are developed and implemented efficiently, and broadly communicated to reach consensus from all those who may be impacted.
  • Ensure business users and IT are utilizing the defined business processes to request, define, test and implement all modifications/enhancements and capital projects
  • Conduct regular/periodic meetings with business users, IT, and others to: establish priorities for change requests and capital projects, and share issues and track progress/status according to established project deadlines
  • Analyze and fully understand complex change requests and resolve competing priorities
  • Work to minimize the overall number of change requests when at all possible
  • Continually look for process improvements and best practices
  • Other daily, weekly, and monthly duties and special projects as assigned

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and Minimum 3 years gas industry experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple short term and long-term projects with varying deadlines across multiple functional areas
  • Ability to facilitate and manage diverse business users' priorities to ensure projects meet deadlines
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish relationships and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Working in a team environment exhibiting excellent leadership skills
  • Must be adept at translating business user requirements into IT coding requirements.
  • Ability to learn new technology
  • Project Management skills preferred
  • Experience with the DART system or equivalent transactional system are a plus
  • Job level and pay commensurate with experience and skill sets
