Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the annual revenue and expense operating budgets and the development and execution of long-term financial goals.

Position Key Accountabilities:

Essential Functions

  • Directs the budget and financial forecasting process to ensure fiscal integrity. This includes, but is not limited to, comparing budgeted expenses and revenues to actual expenditures, as well as providing monthly financial updates and plans for variations such as departmental operating expenses, fee budget to actual, payments to actual, payment to budget, and salary variance to budget.

  • Directs and assists with month-end close, identify expense improvement opportunities, analyze budget variances, and create monthly profit and loss statements and ending projection reports.

  • Provides complex financial analysis and financial reporting. This includes, but is not limited to, producing financial and accounting scorecards, cost studies, management reports, monthly volume reports, charges, collections, RVU, payor mix analysis, and all other ad hoc reports intended to streamline data for various projects.

  • Participates in the development of short- and long-term plans and budgets based on overall objectives and growth targets; creates detailed net revenue and expense models; and develops budget metrics.

  • Assist with the preparation of business plans for the recruitment of new faculty, including all relevant revenue and expenses

  • May act as a designated responsible party for financial reporting for the department.

  • Manages Human Resources activities of department in regards to: recruiting and selection, hiring and termination, training, professional development, mentoring, counseling, performance evaluations, and salary planning.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

  • Must possess strong managerial, financial, and analytical skills.

  • Must have strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to prioritize work

  • Must be detail oriented with good analytical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks independently

  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, databases, etc.)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with representatives of client organizations, business leaders, and staff in a tactful and positive manner.

Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Healthcare Administration required Master's Degree Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration preferred

Minimum Experience:

6 years of progressively responsible accounting, finance, audit and related work activities required

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
