UTHealth Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, Pediatric Radiology - Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging, McGovern Medical S in Houston, Texas

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Radiologist for a faculty position in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging . The rank for this position will be commensurate with experience, with the potential for promotion to Section Chief.

McGovern Medical School primarily provides imaging services at Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center . The 270-bed Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital provides a full range of pediatric care, including the latest advances in maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal critical care services, and renowned programs in pediatric trauma, pediatric surgery, neurosciences, pulmonology, orthopedics and cardiac care. The department also serves Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital . The Pediatric division performs approximately 77,000 examinations per year.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Reading and interpreting radiologic exams and procedures in pediatric radiology including the latest advances in maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal critical care services, and renowned programs in pediatric trauma, pediatric surgery, neurosciences, pulmonology, orthopedics, and cardiac care.
  • Teaching residents, fellows, and medical students.

Qualifications:

  • Diagnostic radiology residency.
  • Pediatric Radiology fellowship.
  • ABR certified and CAQ certified or eligible.
  • Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License.
  • Experience and expertise in pediatric ultrasound, CT, MRI, and general diagnostic imaging.

Interventional skills are not required. Evidence of scholarship is desirable. Preferred applicants will possess knowledge or skills in their field of specialty, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
