A&D Geologist who can work independently and with investment bankers, staff engineers/geologists and clients to contribute to the success of the firm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Provide engineering technical support for A&D project execution and business development.

  • Strong proficiency in reserves modeling and economic analysis required

  • Generate engineering presentation materials including reserve evaluations, field studies, technical analyses and other exhibits for pitch books, executive summaries and data room presentations.

  • Present results of modeling analyses in pitch and data room settings.

  • Other such duties, responsibilities and authority as may be reasonably required

  • Work directly at times with clients and investment bankers on highly confidential evaluations

  • Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in the business

  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly.

Required Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience

  3. Strong knowledge of investment banking, market, industry sector, and/or financial products

  4. Mastery of financial and accounting concepts to facilitate the creation or review of in-depth financial models involved in transactions

  5. Strong organizational and leadership skills

  6. Advanced skills in written and oral communications, and interpersonal relationship management

  7. Solid analytical and sales skills

Preferred Qualifications

  1. MBA degree, with a Finance focus

  2. 6+ years of related work related experience
