Our client is seeking an experienced Billing and Collections Specialist to join their growing team. This full-time position will be based in Downtown Houston, TX. The successful candidate will assist with billing and collections activities, primarily focusing on Large O& G and Construction Companies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all T& M and Contract Billing • Managing a high volume of collections activities while maintaining a superior level of customer satisfaction • Conduct necessary reconciliations • Create, update and maintain excel reports using VLOOKUP’s and Pivot functions • Implement process improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency • Assisting with month-end close processes • Handle manual billing as and when required • Apply tech-savvy solutions to enhance and streamline the billing and collections process

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Billing and Collections, preferably in the O& G and Construction sector • Proficiency in MS Excel, primarily VLOOKUP’s and Pivot • Demonstrated ability for problem-solving and prioritization • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Strong tech skills, with an ability to learn and adapt to new systems and software • Experience with process improvements in Billing and Collections

This is a direct hire opportunity paying up to 75K plus benefits working a hybrid schedule.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a billing clerk role or similar

• Proficient in billing functions

• Demonstrated expertise in commercial collections

• Experience with Open Invoice and Ariba software

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Extensive knowledge in billing procedures

• Experience in project billing is necessary

• Familiarity with Time & Materials Billing

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgement calls

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional qualifications in Accounting or Finance are a plus.
