Dow has an exciting opportunity for aBusiness Finance Directorlocated in Houston, TX. This role directs all finance activities and provides strategic and financial counsel for Univation - a Packaging and Specialty Plastics Licensing and Catalyst business. The incumbent will directly partner with the Univation global business president as business CoPilot.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Provides financial leadership to a global business team and is accountable for results.

  • Provides financial counsel to the Global Business President in regards to value chain strategy, which is critical to the success of the business.

  • Provides strategic financial evaluation to facilitate business decision making

  • Provides operational financial counsel and support for routine finance activities, including closing, financial estimate, profit planning, budget and long-term planning, and ensures compliance with the company’s policies

  • Tracks, monitors and reports business performance

  • Leads the strategic/financial business planning process

  • Sponsors select business strategy projects

  • Endorses all Licensing agreements & Catalyst supply agreements

  • Leads and provides oversight for the business finance team

  • Leads business SOX compliance management

  • Officer of Univation legal entities

  • Member of the Univation Leadership Team

  • Administratively reports to the VP and Business Finance Director of Packaging and Specialty Plastics Segment and is a member of the P&SP Segment Business Finance Leadership Team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a finance related discipline OR a minimum of Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class, Sergeant ranking or higher

  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Financial and financial controller skills/experience

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree is preferred

Domestic relocation assistance is available for this role and may be provided based on eligibility.
