DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

As Customer Service Representative 1 for a senior nutrition program, your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent service to program participants and their families. This may include answering phone calls, responding to emails, and assisting with program enrollment and eligibility verification. You will also be responsible for explaining program benefits and services, as well as addressing any questions or concerns that participants may have. Will also include:

  • Effectively communicate with seniors, coordinators, and the Administration Manager.

  • Maintain accurate daily and weekly counts for meals and transportation.

  • Cultivate partnerships with community agencies to secure volunteer presenters and ensure completion of weekly volunteer presentation forms.

  • Handle volunteer forms for participants assisting with program activities.

  • Record daily attendance of participants.

  • Facilitate Client Intake process, ensuring all necessary service request forms are completed.

  • Ensure accurate service tracking and reporting, supported by required documentation and program criteria.

  • Address consumer calls promptly and efficiently.

  • Manage change of status procedures as required.

  • Organize and supervise field trips.

  • Conduct monthly facility and safety inspections at all three program locations.

  • Complete incident reports and oversee fire drills as necessary.

  • Compile and submit monthly reports to AAA.

  • Process Journal Entries for required Program Income, such as participant donations.

  • Fulfill other assigned duties as needed.

  • Enter meals, EBI (Evidence-Based Interventions), and transportation data accurately into the SPURS system.

  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, stay motivated, and take initiative on projects, including preparation for audits.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The position is physically comfortable most of the time with occasional periods of stooping, bending and/or light lifting of materials of up to 10 pounds.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Requires a high school diploma or a GED.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Six (6) months of administrative or customer service related experience is required.

Substitution: An Associate’s degree may be substituted for the experience requirement.

MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

None.

Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.

Grants & Special fund positions are dependent upon continued available funds. If funding is no longer available, employee may be laid off or transferred.
