Bank OZK Director, Fund Finance in Houston, Texas
Job Purpose & Scope
Responsible for assisting the strategic expansion in the Fund Finance (“FF”) business line in originating, closing, servicing, and monitoring a portfolio of loans including, but not limited to, subscription and/or asset-backed facilities for private investment funds, syndicated corporate loans, and other specialized financing arrangements supporting financial sponsors.
Essential Job Functions
Evaluates loan opportunities by utilizing credit analysis techniques tailored to fund finance and other specialized lending products.
Collaborates with deal stakeholders in the proper structuring, documentation, and closing of assigned Fund Finance credits.
Implements management’s strategic and tactical plans to ensure development and growth, business development productivity, and financial targets are achieved for assigned market area.
Builds successful relationships and develops on-going revenue streams to meet appropriate risk adjusted returns and targeted objectives.
Screens, proposes, and originates loans and other Bank products.
Prepares draw packages for credit facilities while monitoring for borrowing base and/or covenant compliance.
Develops relationships with staff, clients, and financial partners across the Corporate Banking & Sponsor Finance (“CBSF”), Corporate & Institutional Banking (“CIB”) and broader Bank to target high quality opportunities.
Ensures group adherence to relevant policies and procedures.
Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
Maintains good and punctual attendance to work.
Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of finance and credit analysis.
Comprehensive knowledge of lending activities and terminology.
Knowledge of federal and state lending and compliance regulations.
Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to demonstrate effective leadership presence and credibility.
Ability to demonstrate strong business acumen and business development skills.
Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across functional and organizational groups and build business relationships to achieve the desired objectives of the Bank.
Ability to travel on company business, as needed.
Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in commercial lending, corporate lending, sponsor finance, investment banking, and/or enterprise value lending, required.
Successful completion of a formal credit training program or equivalent work experience, preferred.
Demonstrated progressive experience in banking, lending, or finance, preferred.
