Work expectations:

• Research design options and document findings

• Prepare drainage plans, detail drawings and project specifications.

• Review drainage plans, calculations and utility research and coordination

• Coordinate project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group

• Assist with other duties assigned by Project Engineers and/or Project Managers

• Have strong analysis and problem-solving skills

• Have a team-oriented attitude

• Perform quantity calculations

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program

• Coursework related to hydrology, drainage design and water resources analysis

• Working knowledge of the principles of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering

• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills

Ideally, you will also have:

• Experience using CADD/Design software (Microstation/OpenRoads and AutoCAD/Civil 3D) and H&H design software (HY-8, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, GIS, OpenRoads Designer Drainage and Utilities)

• Previous internship with a municipality, DOT or engineering consultant focused on relevant projects.

• Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate
