The Environmental Technician is responsible for supporting and implementing emissions compliance programs across Onshore Resources & Carbon Management Permian business units.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Develop and maintain air compliance programs and systems to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local reporting requirements that are applicable to oil & gas operations.

·         Facilitate Business Unit meetings discussing compliance program progress. Provide assistance, training, and communication to business unit personnel and management to aid in achieving compliance goals.

·         Assist personnel in understanding and complying with applicable environmental laws, rules and regulations.

·         Collaborate with Air Quality members to ensure all compliance activities are being performed at applicable sites/facilities.

·         Provide necessary data for Federal, State, and local reporting using Microsoft SQL, PowerBI, and Spotfire reporting.

·         Maintain environmental records per regulatory, corporate, and legal requirements using SAP as the source system.

·         Collaborate with Field Operations to refine best practices, share knowledge and experiences to streamline compliance programs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor degree is preferred.

·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience of oil and gas knowledge.

·         Well–developed verbal and written communication skills, problem analysis skills, and technical translation skills;

·         Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate, and consistently apply environmental rules and regulations;

·         Manage multiple projects concurrently and adjust quickly to changes in priorities;

·         Strong computers and data analytics skills with an emphasis on attention to detail

·         Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamworking skills

·         Self-starter – ability to work independently and meet objectives of the job and the team

·         Proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook and Excel)

·         Valid driver’s license with no restrictions

·         Travel will be required 10%-30% of the time.

 

Additional Desired Qualifications:

·         Oilfield operations knowledge/experience

·         Background in air quality regulations

·         Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.

·         SAP Maintenace experience

·         SQL experience

·         Power BI experience
