Amazon Executive Assistant, Global Services in Arlington, Virginia

Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking an Executive Assistant to support a VP on a US-based Global Services team in a high-level, high-visibility role.

Partnering closely with the organization's Lead EA, you will support managing programs across a distributed organization. The successful candidate will have an understanding of business priorities, demonstrate the ability to learn and proactively anticipate needs, and drive improvements to build capacity for leaders of a sales team to serve customers.

Meticulous attention to detail is paramount for this role, as you will be responsible for expertly handling all intricate aspects of the executive's extensive domestic and international travel schedule. Together with the Lead EA, you will work as a cohesive team to enable the executive's maximum productivity and effectiveness.

This role requires the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react proactively and with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is important, as is professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company. A good sense of humor will bolster success.

Key job responsibilities

  • Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities and calendars

  • Management of complex calendars, scheduling requirements, and prioritization of executive's tasks and appointments according to their importance, urgency, and relevance.

  • Act as a liaison for direct reports and business stakeholders

  • International and domestic travel coordination

  • Participate in planning of events and drive key team activities (staff meetings, all-hands meetings, supply ordering)

  • Work alongside other executive assistants within the org and throughout AWS/AmSec to drive best practices and cross collaboration of efficiencies

  • Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables across programmatic mechanisms

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience

  • Experience with executive level calendar management

  • Experience with domestic or international travel coordination

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of senior level leadership support experience

  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

  • Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency

  • Experience leading process improvements
