We have an exciting opportunity for a Export Control Analyst to join the team!
We are actively searching for qualified candidates for this potential opening; however, we do not have assurance at this time when the position will be finalized and opened. Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews.
The Export Control Analyst will:
Ensure export transactions comply with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Amentum Export Compliance Program and NASA export control policy and procedures.
Actively work to further develop and maintain the Export Compliance procedures and act as a resource for regulatory export compliance-related questions.
Serve as a point of contact for any NASA client export control officials, representatives, and staff.
Obtain all required export licenses and Technical Assistance Agreements necessary to perform task obligations.
Provide guidance to all personnel affecting exports.
Develop and provide training to personnel regarding the general rules, regulations, and export authorizations.
Assist exporters with determining export jurisdictions, export classifications, and export license applications.
Coordinate with internal and external staff to ensure documents containing export-controlled data are properly labeled.
Maintaining proper records/logs of exporting activities.
Perform other duties as assigned
Requisition Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and normally possess 3 years of work experience.
Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, and customer interface skills required.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
Computer experience with Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers, and outlook.
Must be able to communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication accurately.
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Requisition Preferences:
BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience -OR- Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration, industrial management, or appropriate discipline with eight (8) years of progressive and relevant experience.
BA or BS in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration plus five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience.
Prior experience dealing with export controls within NASA or Aerospace and Department of Defense DoD industries.
Certified United States Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) certification.

Work Environment
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Attendance
Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
