Aerotek Field Technician in Houston, Texas

Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

We are looking to add a Field Technician to our team. The Field Technician will be responsible for servicing electrical panels and will travel to service calls using a company truck. Candidates must have electrical experience, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair panels, place orders, and perform maintenance. This role requires flexibility, as the technician may need to be on call for emergencies, which could occur early in the morning or late at night. The technician will also provide maintenance on wastewater and storm systems and will typically handle three jobs per day, which may include both commercial and industrial sites.

Responsibilities

  • Service electrical panels on-site.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels.

  • Place orders for necessary parts and equipment.

  • Perform maintenance on wastewater and storm systems.

  • Handle emergency service calls as needed.

  • Complete three service jobs per day, including both commercial and industrial sites.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working as a field/service technician.

  • Experience with wastewater, sewage, or water treatment plants.

  • Proficient in repairing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Experience with pumps and pump systems.

  • Ability to perform field service, assembly, installation, and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of PLCs, electrical panels, and panel building.

  • Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working in a non-climate-controlled shop.

  • Experience working with a team of assemblers and pump mechanics.

Work Environment

This position operates in a non-climate-controlled shop. The shop includes an electrical manager and a team of 5-6 assemblers and pump mechanics. The working hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some potential for additional hours as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
