Phillips 66 Full Stack Developer, Data & Integration in Houston, Texas

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer with a strong focus on data and integration to join our team. The Full Stack Developer, Data & Integration will be responsible for developing end-to-end solutions that integrate data from various sources, build data pipelines, and create interactive Power BI dashboards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and delivers actionable insights. You will be responsible for driving the successful execution of complex data initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and operations, to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. You will be business-facing and will provide expertise and translate business requirements into technical solutions. This role requires understanding of data platforms, databases, architecture frameworks and leveraging data to drive business insights and innovation.

Responsibilities May Include:

  • Designing and implementing ETL processes to gather, transform, and store data from multiple sources into a centralized data warehouse

  • Developing and maintaining APIs and services that facilitate data access and integration with front-end applications

  • Optimize data queries and database performance

  • Maintaining responsive web applications and dashboards using modern front-end technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js

  • Creating and maintaining interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, integrating data from various sources, as well as customizing Power BI solutions using DAX and Power Query

  • Developing and maintaining robust data models to support reporting and analytics needs, ensuring data accuracy and consistency

  • Working closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs

  • Optimizing data storage, retrieval, and visualization processes to ensure efficient and scalable solutions

  • Implementing automation for data processes and reporting, reducing manual intervention and improving data accuracy and timeliness

  • Ensuring that all data solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, including data governance and privacy standards

  • Foundational understanding of machine learning models and ML-Ops

Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • 3 or more years of experience in development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex data projects

  • 2 or more years of experience in full stack development, with a strong focus on data engineering and visualization

  • Proficiency with software development processes, including Agile and Scrum methodologies

  • Working experience with Power BI, including dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query

  • Working experience with backend development using languages such as Python, C#, or Java, and databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

  • Proficiency in ETL processes and data integration tools (e.g. MuleSoft, SAP PO/PI, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Talend)

  • SQL skills, including experience with complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, particularly in data services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS Redshift)

  • Working knowledge of front end development (.net, React, PowerApps, Salesforce)

  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools

  • Understanding of best practices in data security, governance, and compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

  • 3 or more years of experience in the Marketing segment of the oil and gas industry

  • Cloud Certified DevOps Engineer (AWS, Azure, Salesforce, others)

  • Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake concepts

  • Experience in front-end development using JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, DevOps practices, and software architecture is highly desirable

  • Experience with CDC tools like Qlik Replicate

  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse team

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
