Robert Half Houston In-House Contracts Administrator in Houston, Texas

Description

We are seeking a Contracts Administrator for our client, a lighting and electrical contractor for commercial projects that is based in Houston, Texas. This is an in-office role that they would like to fill in the next three weeks. This role focuses on the development, negotiation, administration, and management of contracts across various sectors such as construction, distribution, services, and real estate. The role requires a high level of initiative and attention to detail to ensure all contracts are legally compliant and well-documented.

Responsibilities:

• Management of professional service agreements, including designing, constructing, and maintaining contracts.

• Identifying and mitigating potential risks in contracts being considered by the organization.

• Ensuring contracts align with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

• Overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, including preparing, negotiating, managing change notices, performance monitoring, and deliverable reporting.

• Maintaining an organized audit file for each contract, which includes original documents, correspondence, amendments, and payment schedules.

• Monitoring contract performance, ensuring compliance with terms, and identifying opportunities for improvement or cost savings.

• Coordinating with various departments, including operations, legal, and risk management, to meet contract requirements.

• Staying updated on legislative changes that could affect current and future contracts.

• Assisting with contract-related queries, ensuring clarity on terms and conditions for employees, leadership, and external partners.

• Managing digital and physical records of contracts, utilizing systems like DocuSign.

• Managing the contracts from inception to signature.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Contracts Administrator

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Costpoint, CRM, DCAA, Deltek

• Familiarity with contract administration and amendments

• Experience in auditing and billing functions

• Knowledge of compliance and construction industry practices

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred
