Internship Summary:

Kuraray's paid internship program allows students the opportunity to obtain valuable, applicable work experience in a fast-paced, and challenging environment. The program blends real-world experience with an extensive overview of the chemical industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance as you gain professional hands-on experience. The internship will be 13 weeks in duration for the summer of 2025 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full-time.

The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting Support
    • Assist with recruiting with the 2025 recruiting strategy
    • Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including paperwork, background checks, and orientation activities.
  • Data Reporting
    • Prepare and maintain HR-related reports, including employee demographics, turnover, and time and attendance data.
    • Assist in data analysis to identify trends and provide insights to support HR decision-making.
    • Create and update HR dashboards and presentations for management.
    • Support the HR team in preparing reports for compliance, audits, file feeds, and other HR-related needs.

``` - General HR Support - Assist with general HR administrative tasks such as filing, document management, and responding to employee inquiries. - Participate in HR projects and initiatives, providing research and administrative support. - Collaborate with HR team members on various HR-related tasks and projects as needed. - Assist with policy review, updates, and research. - Learning and Development - Assist with creating/developing/implementing training for managers. - Assist with creating development plans. - Benefits - Create SOPs for benefits. - Analyze and create a training plan for benefits. - Compensation - Assist with the Understanding Pay project. - Support the Compensation Specialist as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Completed two years of college education before beginning internship (3rd or 4th year student)
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Human Resources, Business or similar degree.
  • Strong academic performance minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA and extracurricular achievement.
  • Exce and/or PowerBI experience
  • Creative and Flexible
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of different projects and requests.
  • Demonstrated communication, writing, and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and proven track record of adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.
  • Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.
  • Must successfully pass the pre-employment screening process.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
