Job Description:

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving the efforts of cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project lifecycle are completed efficiently and effectively.  Projects you may lead could include digital transformation assessments, strategy/roadmap development, custom or platform-based mobile application development/delivery, machine learning/AI models, application integration delivery, or other enterprise application delivery (CRM, ECM, AP automation, etc.)  Project team sizes can range from a couple of people to over 20 Smartbridge and client resources. At this time we are looking for individuals with experience in Data Analytics projects with AZURE.  

To be successful in this role, you need to be passionate about delivering high-quality professional services, demonstrate structured and critical thinking skills, and be able to maximize client success while driving efficient and profitable project delivery for Smartbridge.  Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with an ability for identifying and mitigating project risks will enable you to be successful in this extremely important role of driving digital innovation for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Own the development of detailed project estimates, work plans, and resourcing plans to execute successful projects

• Assist with the development and delivery of project proposals and statements of work to support business development activities

• Establish strong working relationships with key client stakeholders

• Deliver projects/work on-time, on budget, and in a way that accomplishes client goals

• Schedule and communicate tasks, deadlines, and milestones for all stakeholders and resources  

• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

• Manage the timeliness and quality of in-scope activities and deliverables

• Engage client and Smartbridge resources as necessary to achieve commitments

• Facilitate the identification, documentation, mitigation, escalation, and resolution of project risks, issues, and decisions

• Use project change management practices and deliverables to manage scope and client expectations

• Actively manage project financials to satisfy both client and Smartbridge leadership

• Develop comprehensive weekly status reports and deliver to project leadership

• Build and manage waterfall project work plans

• Establish and manage project delivery using agile techniques

• Drive the internal development and delivery of solution accelerator and/or POC/demonstration solutions

• Travel to client locations based on project and/or client needs

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience managing technology projects

• Recent and relevant consulting experience is required

• Experience on data analytics projects

• Excellent foundational consulting skills including critical thinking and analysis, verbal and written communications, executive presence, facilitation and presentation skills, business analysis

• Ability to conduct business user workshops, design reviews, executive presentations, and lead other senior stakeholders/sponsor meetings

• Experience driving technology projects that span complex technical architectures; this may include on-premises and cloud (Azure) hardware and software components, enterprise application/data integration, custom and commercial off-the-shelf software, and web/mobile application delivery

• Previous experience and ability to manage/lead projects using waterfall or agile approach with a project team ranging from 3 to 20 team members

• Strong problem-solving ability; biased toward finding solutions and removing barriers to progress

• Experience working in Asana, JIRA or similar is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Calm under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with the typical sections of a Statement of Work

• Working understanding of the software development lifecycle, general IT architecture components, mobile application

• Ability to travel to client locations, if needed

Qualities that will ensure success:

• Bachelor’s degree (business, engineering, MIS, CS, or related field recommended); knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree
