Introduction to the team

Moss Adams is a growing firm, doubling in size over the past five years and on track for continued growth in the years ahead. We're searching for a leader who can drive the firm's enterprise consulting marketing strategy and set the team up for continued success in supporting our various practice-specific goals.

The Consulting Marketing Associate Director will develop a deep understanding of the firm's business strategy and familiarity with unique service line challenges, collaborating with the business to drive growth. This position is responsible for leadership and operational oversight of the firm's consulting marketing team in directing go-to-market efforts to build a differentiated Moss Adams brand and drive demand for firm services. The Consulting Marketing Associate Director facilitates collaboration and integration across sales and marketing resources to support sales and buyer enablement.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee marketing strategies across consulting practices, ensuring approach supports practice growth goals and is aligned with the firm’s overall marketing and brand strategy

  • Design and drive marketing planning and budgeting process across practices, and assess performance against strategic goals and financial plan

  • Leverage data to drive strategy and evolve marketing tactics to increase marketing impact

  • Lead team of marketing personnel, providing coaching and performance management in addition to supporting the development of an effective team culture. Monitor current and future resource needs and capabilities

  • Oversee development and implementation of best practices across marketing team

  • Serve as a member of the sales and marketing leadership team, collaborating with directors and other functional leaders to guide sales and marketing department operations and strategic approach

  • Collaborate with national marketing and sales resources, lead communication, client experience and other growth initiatives

  • Serve as a brand ambassador, championing marketing efforts that continue to move the firm’s brand position forward in the marketplace

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in in marketing, business or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 13 years related experience with progressive marketing responsibility, including leadership and/or management responsibilities; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)

  • Experience coaching and managing a team, including overseeing the work of remote team members

  • Able to work effectively across functions/departments/teams while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others

  • Able to assess challenges, think critically, and identify creative solutions

  • Excellent project management skills with ability to own and drive project schedule, as well as manage peers and individuals senior to you

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience giving executive level presentations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint); previous experience with CRM systems, and knowledge of email marketing and BI reporting tools

  • Able to travel as needed, approximately 20%
