This position is located in Houston, TX and is required to be onsite.
Job responsibilities
Drives Retirement Benefits Group (RBG) BAU business operations
Key liaison to HQ partners and helps drive national initiatives to the Complex level
Key staff role to support the Complex RBG specialist
Support general operations initiatives and sales support for local branch
Office and systems administration - Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office, including support of management, associates, and staff. Manage all office business systems and related vendors including facilities management, network infrastructure, security system, copiers, and end user computers usage. Responsible for organizing and maintaining all local branch files and records.
Problem-solving skills – The ability to pivot and be able to move to options or people to help in situations that develop on a daily basis to support the Advisors and Complex staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, excel, Word) - application of available tools to build a financial planning practice as well as the benefits of being associated with the firm requiring coordination with other branch specialists. Tracking and reporting support to ensure the branch coordinates onboarding with broader organization requirements.
Ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of internal/external clients & advisors with diplomacy and tact. - Collaborate and coordinate with the branch team to manage a complex, interrelated system focused on tracking and managing candidates to join the firm
Strong verbal and written communication skills - Events will range from small local management sessions up to larger events such as an Awards Banquet or Education Conference with 400 participants for the region. Will participate in the development of the project concept, agenda/speakers, venue selection/logistics and communications to target audience.
The base salary range for this position is $52,000-$60,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Required qualifications
2 Years Administrative background in the area of sales support
Successful business acumen
Proficiency and usage of technology and software
Confident communication skillset with all levels of management
Ability to work and manage several projects, workflows or problem resolutions simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred
Financial industry experience a plus
Cross-functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals
Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
Relationship Building: Knowledge of the importance of creating positive relationships within the team and ability to develop trusting relationships by valuing others' concerns and contributions.
Telephone-Based Customer Servicing: Knowledge of customer service delivered via telephone; ability to deal with handling customer inquiries and responses received by telephone.
