Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a part-time Bookkeeper/Accountant based in Houston, Texas. The selected candidate will be primarily involved in the software distribution industry, processing sales orders, maintaining financial records, and generating invoices within QuickBooks Online. This role also encompasses additional responsibilities to support the accounting team as it continues to grow. Estimated to be 15-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient and accurate processing of sales orders.

• Inputting financial terms related to sales orders.

• Generation of invoices for billing in QuickBooks Online.

• Maintenance of accurate customer credit records.

• Monitoring of customer accounts and taking appropriate actions as necessary.

• Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support the accounting team.

• Account reconciliation to ensure accurate representation of financial data.

• Handling of accounts payable and receivable.

• Conducting bank reconciliations.

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for spreadsheet functions and management.

Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or related field

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge and experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skilled in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated ability in Bookkeeping

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in Month End Close process

• Must be familiar with Quickbooks Online

• Experience in Billing is preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Must have strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Detail-oriented and high level of accuracy in work is required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
