Robert Half Project Manager/Sr. Consultant in Houston, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Network Engineer in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Houston, Texas. The role will mainly focus on IT inventory management and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) management, with a preference for those with experience in IT inventory software such as SAP and Remedy.

Responsibilities:

• Manage IT inventory, including software data input, report generation, shipping and receiving of IT hardware, and organization of inventory rooms.

• Maintain Business Continuity Plan (BCP) which includes software data input, report generation, and creation of department plans through interviews/meetings with department managers.

• Regularly update BCPs and support IT application testing and documentation.

• Provide support for BCP datacenters and corporate office locations during emergency events as described in the corporate BCP.

• Utilize skills in Remedy, Asset Management, Business Continuity Plan, OneDrive, Communication, Data Center Technologies, and Data Center Environment to effectively perform duties.

This job requires on-site presence five days a week with flexible work hours. The role also allows for remote work for a limited number of days in a year. Requirements • At least two years of professional experience in a Network Engineering role within the Energy/Natural Resources industry

• Proficiency in Remedy, Asset Management, and Business Continuity Plan

• Experience working with OneDrive, with solid understanding of its functionalities and applications

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Knowledge of Data Center Technologies and Data Center Environment, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues

• Must have legal authorization to work in the specified location

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred

• Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure

• Continual learning attitude, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and methods

• Any relevant certifications (such as CCNA, CCNP) are considered a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
