AVEVA Senior Payroll Manager, Americas in Houston, Texas

Salary Range:
$107,400.00 - $179,000.00
This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
Principal Accountabilities
Results:
Supervise the Payroll Services team to fulfil their core purpose of delivery payrolls accurately and on time in compliance with all local legislation.
Ensure payroll KPIs for AMERICAS Payroll team are met, work towards achieving and exceeding the KPIs.
Support the execution of global Payroll strategy, operating model, architecture and roadmaps for delivering excellent service which will ensure the successful delivery of AVEVA’s vision.
Assist in the creation and validation of SOPs and vendor contracts to ensure accurate and achievable delivery of services, consistency of approach within the teams and to achieve payroll synergies globally within AVEVA.
Support in the development and execution of Key Performance indicators for AMERICAS Payroll Services. Manage and track overall performance to help deliver consistent achievement of SLAs.
Learning:
Supervise, inspire and develop the AMERICAS Payroll Services team and ensure that appropriate performance measures are in place to develop a high performing team.
Align to the company’s Talent Management processes, supporting staff with identified potential to realise and achieve their full potential within the company.
Ensure current and new staff are provided with appropriate training and guidance to be compliant with AVEVA/systems practices and relevant external bodies e.g. local tax authorities.
Promote a culture and environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement in pursuit of enhanced customer satisfaction and personal development.
Collaboration:
Actively encourage and manage cross business unit working either by knowledge sharing or direct resourcing of projects within the company to ensure AVEVA can achieve business targets.
Support cross AMERICAS HR Services working/shadowing to develop team members and provide service contingency.
Support the Reward and Finance teams in annual and periodical activities such as pay review and incentives.
Planning:
Recognise proper segregation of duties and work with the Head of People Services, Americas to ensure adherence to service control audits e.g. SOX or equivalent.
Ensure all statutory reporting is completed accurately and on time and that payroll processes comply with internal and external audit requirements to protect employees and AVEVA.
Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the AMERICAS Payroll Services team, provide professional leadership to staff to ensure achievement of operational targets and risk mitigation.
Continually review processes/systems used by AMERICAS Payroll Services to ensure compliance with legislation protecting AVEVA and employees.
Ensure continuity of roles and responsibilities and proper distribution of assignments within the AMERICAS Payroll Services, while maintaining outstanding customer service practices, to achieve consistent continuity of service.
Manage the timely resolution of customer issues including handling customer escalations, perform and document Root Cause Analysis and implement remedial procedures to close identified gaps.
Important Working Relationships
Support Finance colleagues to ensure Salary and 3rd party payments are processed on time and General Ledger interfaces are working and correctly reflecting payroll entries.
Work closely with all other HR functional colleagues in gathering the required inputs.
Partner with the HR systems team in identifying and delivering enhancements, and supporting them in upcoming projects that have dependencies on the payroll team.
Knowledge Skills & Experience Required
Certified Payroll Professional(CPP) or equivalent Global Payroll certification required.
10+ years of experience and expert working knowledge of Canada, US & LATAM country payroll processing, legislation and pension schemes.
Proficiency in English (required), Spanish (preferred)
Full understanding of and ability to reconcile Payroll general ledger files, understand cost center structures, and other finance team requirements
Educated to degree level (or experience equivalent).
5+ years proven ability to supervise, motivate and lead a payroll team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll services with a proven track record of building teams.
Customer focused – excellent customer service, timely responses to employees, managers or functional teams on payroll related queries/issues/escalations. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate the needs and root cause.
Strong attention to accuracy and details.
Strong information technology skills with deep software and integration knowledge. Enthusiasm and interest in technology and in sharing knowledge.
Excellent knowledge and practical experience across a range of problem, change and incident management scenarios.
Proven track record of tenacity, positive drive to complete deliverables on time, seek solutions to challenges and maintain focus through to completion. Ability to effectively manage multiple and possibly competing priorities at the same time.

Hybrid working
