Xylem Senior Sales Manager in Houston, Texas

The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for managing a team of sales professionals to sell Xylem Dewatering Filtration products, services and solutions primarily in the Americas. Develops and implements sales strategies in accordance with corporate goals in order to exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty. Develops organizational strategies, analyses, and recommendations for sales. Ensures objectives align with organizational objectives. Continually evaluates existing processes to determine areas of improvement. Manages, selects, trains, motivates, reviews, coaches, develops, and retains a high-performance sales team. Responsible for providing accurate Sales Forecasting data.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

• Leads, coaches, mentors, and develops team of Sales Professionals

• Delivers on revenue/customer growth targets

• Aligns objectives of team with Organizational Goals and Objectives; objectives for assigned unit/area defined by upper management

• Exemplifies Evoqua's Growth Enabling Behaviors and leverages those to foster a high performing team

• Provides accurate Sales Forecasting data

• Manages work efforts of individual contributors; hires, fires, conducts performance appraisals and pay reviews

• Makes decisions based on business objectives and allocated resources

• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

10-15 years of sales experience with 5-7 years of managing a sales force

Preferred:

BS/BA preferred

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Strong communication skills & experience with filtration

• Intra-departmental communication for purpose of alignment/information sharing

• Ability to manage activities of team including Field Sales Representatives, Inside Sales Representatives and Sales Process Specialists (typically oversees greater than 7 Sales Professionals)

• Ability to be responsible for greater volume revenue targets

• Broad knowledge of the field with proven leadership skills.

• Understands sales techniques, how to coach to metrics, and how to develop a sales team

• Ability/latitude to make decisions to achieve defined goals

• Must have an acceptable driving record to be insurable to drive for company business

• Basic understanding of ERP and CRM systems

• Fluency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 50%

Salary range:

$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
