Job Overview:

An Engineer with 3-12 years of experience responsible for troubleshooting Gas turbine package’s systems and component failures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot Gas turbine packages’ accessories and component failures.

  • Create Aero Event cases for significant field events, and compare with similar previous events for categorization. Participate in weekly Aero Event Review Board meeting.

  • Follow QMS procedure on process for completing the Documentation Only event case.

  • Coordinate with the customer service leader (CSL), product service engineer (PSE), and FieldCore representative to ensure data is captured.

  • Work with PSE to ensure cases are properly mapped to the correct Common Problem Record (CPR).

  • Monitor NSR system and work on dispositions to ensure fast cycle times.

  • Provide written justification for dispositions and include in a system of record.

  • Coordinate with the Project Management Organization (PMO) team on determining the cost savings associated with each NSR continued-time disposition.

  • Create Clean and Light Touch-up Documents using component repair design practices.

  • Coordinate with repair engineers for approval.

  • Support implementation and standard work efforts to utilize the Clean and Light Touch-up in shops.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in relevant fields (Aerospace engineering, Repair engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical engineering, and Electrical engineering).

  • 3 to 12 years of experience in Gas turbine packaging experience is necessary.

  • Experience working with Aero-derivative gas turbines is preferred.

  • Familiarity with Gas Turbine package accessory systems components is required.

Location: Cincinnati, OH or Houston, TX (remote allowed within US for qualified candidates)

Travel: Up to 5%

Compensation Type : Competitive wages. Position also qualifies for benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, disability, life insurance, 401(K), tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Status: Full-Time Exempt
