We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in the Energy/Natural Resources industry. This role will be based in Houston, Texas, and will involve the use of skills such as Budgeting - Forecasting and Financial Modeling. The Sr. Financial Analyst will play a significant role in our financial planning team and contribute to our strategic financial decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing financial data and creating financial models for decision support

• Reporting on financial performance and preparation for regular leadership reviews

• Analyzing past results, performing variance analysis, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements

• Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts

• Guiding the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures

• Providing analysis of trends and forecasts and recommending actions for optimization

• Recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials

• Identifying and driving process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards

• Increasing productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools

• Performing market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps

• Maintaining a strong financial analysis foundation creating forecasts and models.

Requirements • Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of a Financial Analyst, preferably within the Energy/Natural Resources industry.

• Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting is essential.

• Demonstrable experience in financial modeling is required.

• The candidate must possess strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and trends.

• Proficiency in using financial software and spreadsheet programs is necessary.

• The candidate should have exceptional communication skills to effectively share financial insights with non-financial colleagues.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; an MBA or relevant certification such as CFA/CPA is preferred.

• The candidate must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make well-judged decisions are essential.

• The candidate must have a thorough understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
