Axiom Space Talent Management Specialist in Houston, Texas

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will be responsible for designing and developing programs, tools, processes and practices that align with Axiom Space’s company objectives and support full cycle talent acquisition, retention, and development. This includes designing and improving program strategies as well as rolling up their sleeves to implement these programs in collaboration with the HR Business Partners and leaders.

  • Provides learning and development to enhance the capabilities of the workforce, including leadership development programs to identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership roles.

  • Develops a customized strategy to attract and recruit top talent for Axiom Space.

  • Supports the culture team to ensure that our culture is aligned with the talent management programs and processes.

  • Oversees performance management and its integration with other talent processes and alignment with company performance measures.

  • Works with HR Business Partners to ensure outcomes of performance management, talent reviews, employee engagement, and succession plans are translated into follow-up actions.

  • Utilizes talent data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develops, executes, and/or assists with talent management projects and other HR initiatives creatively; monitoring and applying HR best practices.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or Organizational Psychology; Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or Organizational Psychology preferred.

  • 4+ years of experience in human resources focused on talent management.

  • Implemented talent strategies at an enterprise level to include change management.

  • Experience utilizing competencies and facilitating a talent review process, performance management, and leadership development programs.

  • Modernized, full cycle talent acquisition and recruiting acumen.

  • Experience with Workday Performance Management and Talent Optimization preferred.

  • Effective communication and facilitation skills.

  • Understanding of effective coaching strategies and techniques.

  • Ability to work with others openly and transparently to create an environment where diverse viewpoints are valued, and information is shared with others for the purposes of achieving wins.

  • Adept with curiosity and willingness to learn from experiences and failures to adapt and adopt new ways of being and thinking to further the success of the organization.

  • Experienced at critical thinking to actively and skillfully listen, conceptualize, synthesize, and evaluate information from multiple sources and perspectives to reach an answer or conclusion.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Work Environment: Generally, an office environment.

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs. (<5% of the time).

  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
