This position is a member of our Houston Region Office. KEY QUALIFICATIONS Experience interpreting environmental regulations and/or reviewing or evaluating environmental permits. Experience conducting inspections and/or investigations. HERES WHAT YOULL BE DOING... Prioritize, plan, and conduct investigations; prepare reports to document field activities and observed conditions. Assist with collecting and analyzing environmental samples. Conduct enforcement and follow-up activities in accordance with Enforcement Initiation Criteria Provide technical assistance and information to the public, regulated community, and other interested groups regarding the application of appropriate regulations. Perform other technical assistance activities, including coordinating and/or participating in the collection of records, technical data, research or analysis as a result of public information requests. Participate on committees and attends meetings, seminars, or workshops as required. Qualifications: EDUCATION EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in a natural or physical science, engineering, environmental studies, or related field generally preferred, but not required. OR Four years of full-time experience in the field of environmental activities directly related to the examples of work performed.
