Job Title: Transmission Line Design Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Design Engineer with over 5 years of experience using PLS-CADD. This is a remote position where you will lead various phases of planning, proposal preparation, site evaluations, analytical designs, report preparation, specifications, and construction documentation. You will be part of a project team, working on diverse projects and leading the design efforts from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Lead various phases of planning, proposal preparation, and site evaluations.

• Conduct analytical designs, report preparation, and specifications.

• Prepare construction documentation and transmission plans.

• Lead drawing production work, including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations on non-routine assignments.

• Use prescribed methods and standard techniques for drawing sequence and presentation, sizing various components, and refining rough sketches.

• Conduct quality reviews of designs or sketches and mark-ups on ongoing projects.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience using PLS-CADD.

• Experience in transmission line design, power delivery, and distribution.

• Proven ability to lead projects from inception to completion.

• Experience as a technical SME on transmission line projects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience managing or leading other designers.

• Experience in site design, land development, utility design, and sediment and erosion control design.

Work Environment

This is a remote position, allowing for flexibility and the comfort of working from home. The role involves regular office work, including drawing production and quality reviews.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00
