Amour' Landscaping Inc. Landscaping and Snow Services General Laborer in Howell, Michigan

This position is for 10 landscape laborers to work in a fulltime/temporary capacity in Oakland and Livingston County in the Detroit-Warren-Dearborn, MI areas from October 1, 2024 until December 31, 2024 for Amour' Landscaping. Workers will perform general and standard landscaping duties during warmer weather months. Mow, blow, edge, trim, etc. During cooler months and through the Winter, workers will trim, cut, and remove trees and plants and bushes as well as prepare properties for warmer weather activities. For example, workers will remove dead winter debris, reposition/turnover planting beds or lawn arrangements/ornaments that may have been stored during Winter months. Workers will also work to remove snow for clients by use of snow shovel for driveways, sidewalks, and parking lots primarily. As temperatures begin to cool each Fall, workers will prepare properties for harsh winter conditions -- for example, workers will do leaf removal, which if left unattended can result in rot, and workers will be responsible for covering plants and storing items such as lawn ornaments that may be intended only for warm temperatures. Must be able to push, pull, carry, and use necessary machinery that is standard to the duties. Mowers, weed eaters, blowers, shovels, etc.

If worker cannot physically do so, then worker will be unable to perform the duties.

Workers will be provided the necessary tools and equipment at no charge. Workers will be part of a team and will not be in supervisory roles. Worker day/hours may vary, dependent on projects, weather, etc., but Employer expects 9:00am -- 5:00pm work schedule at a rate of $17.55 regular and overtime as necessary at a rate of $26.33. The worker will be paid at least every two weeks. Employer will make all deductions from worker's pay as required by law. At the option of the employee, employer will provide housing at a reasonable rate that will depend on exact living arrangement. Employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages. Employer will reimburse H-2B worker in the first week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other fees as required by law. If worker travels from abroad, travel expenses will be reimbursed. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed, if earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to a subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Employer will provide all tools, supplies, and equipment necessary to complete the assigned duties.

Worker is offered employment for a total number of hours equal to at least ¾ of the workdays for each 12 week period, if the period of employment is 120 or more days, or each 6 week period, if the period of employment is less than 120 days.
