Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Howell, Michigan

Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will primarily be on the production floor, actively engaging with assembly line issues 80% of the time. Your role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving machinery problems, which may include designing new components or tools to ensure operational efficiency. Additionally, you'll spend 20% of your time at a desk, managing tasks such as drawing and detailing using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ordering new tools, and overseeing their installation. You will also handle new projects from quoting to designing new cell layouts.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Howell, Michigan.

Work Environment

Working hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM with overtime, averaging about 50 hours a week. You will be the sole engineer in the team, supported by 2 automation technicians and a setup and maintenance crew. You will report directly to your supervisor, Scott.
