The Arc of Opportunity Shift Lead-Tues-Sat 3pm-11pm (40 hr/week) in Hubbardston, Massachusetts

The Shift Lead provides support to all direct support professionals (overnight awake/asleep, relief) and partners with the Residential Manager (RM) to ensure quality direct support services are provided. The Shift Lead additionally ensures the daily operations of programs meet Federal, State and agency compliance regulations.
Position Schedule: Tues-Sat 3pm-11pm (40 hr/week)
Pay: $21/hr without MAP certification, $22/hr with MAP certification
Essential Functions:
In the physical absence of the RM, serves as the senior staff member on-site, providing support and guidance to other direct support professionals
Serves as the Acting Residential Manager during periods when the RM is on vacation, sick leave or other absences not greater than two weeks
Implements Individual Support Plans (ISP) for individuals based on assessments, objectives, and goals
Collaborates with the RM, case managers, and peers in the planning, management, and fulfillment of the agency’s short/long term goals
Provides administrative support to the RM, including case management for an identified caseload
Provides direct service to individuals served
Frequent driving of a motor vehicle and/or van required
Must work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays
Actively advocates for individuals served and demonstrates the agency mission and values in all interpersonal and professional relations
Enhances and promotes The Arc of Opportunity’s strategic initiatives, overall brand, and organizational mission and values through positive promotion and representation
Qualifications:
MAP Certification
Associates degree in relevant field or some college coursework preferred, High School Diploma or GED required
A minimum of one year experience in a human service field, some human service supervisory or senior staff experience preferred
A valid driver’s license and acceptable CORI/Fingerprint checks & driving record are required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity
Use of personal vehicles is required & must meet all State requirements to include a valid registration, insurance, & safety standards
Ability and willingness to provide hand over hand assistance in personal care functions, including shower and hygiene assistance
Mathematical aptitude to reconcile monetary accounts for individual served
Flexible work scheduled required with on-call responsibilities as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; kneel, bend and carry items; and sustain periods of walking, standing, sitting
Ability to physically assist individuals according to their needs and perform physical restraint if necessary
Mental Requirements:
Functional and situational reasoning to follow policy, complete administrative tasks, problem solve, exercise sound judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, & crisis manage
Communication skills, in written and oral English, which convey clear and concise information in a professional & respectful manner to individuals supported, family members/guardians, government agencies, & community partners
Ability to work independently
