JL Schwieters Human Resource Manager in Hugo, Minnesota

JL Schwieters is seeking a Human Resource Manager. The HR Manager will be a part of a team of HR, Recruiters and HR Generalist. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the warehouse positions at the Hugo campus. The duties will include overseeing all HR functions for the warehouse employees, recruiting for warehouse positions and other miscellaneous duties.

This position will work with Warehouse supervisors and be the HR liaison between supervisors and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the full cycle recruitment process for warehouse positions by scheduling interviews, job offers, onboarding for new hires and completing necessary paperwork.

  • Guide employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment related matters.

  • Oversee disciplinary action up to and including terminations.

  • Work with HR Manager and Safety Director on all work comp, safety reporting and return to work.

  • Oversee employee reviews, compensation, training, retention and all paperwork related to these duties.

  • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions. Including confidential information with sensitivity.

  • Stay up to date on HR laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.

  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, copying, scanning, phone calls, and managing walk in applicants.

  • Other duties as needed.

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Reading, writing, and conversational.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.

  • At least 2 years in HR Management with 50-100 employees.

  • HR Experience in skilled trade/manufacturing a plus.

General Hours, Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00pm in Hugo

Compensation = $80,000-90,000 + Bonus Opportunites.
