In this role, it will be critical for you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, perform fixed asset entry and maintenance, and general ledger reconciliations and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Your responsibilities in this role
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation
Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline
0-3 years of accounting experience
Desire to learn and grow with the company
Good communication skills and ability to work daily in the Hunt Valley office
