Job Description

Company: Lightning Diversions Systems (LDS) located in Huntington Beach, CA is a global leader in the design, development and production of segmented lightning diverter strips and innovative lightning protection devices for aerospace, defense and wind turbine markets. Skills & Qualifications

Position Information:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for sales revenue growth, seeking out and capturing new business opportunities

Identification of new business opportunities and development of winning proposals

Management of key customers to secure new business

Development of alliances and relationships with customers, industry professionals, and associated organizations designed to produce sales opportunities

Development of key markets and market opportunities

Identification and support of key trade shows

Understanding of the competitive landscape and competitor strategies

Evaluates trends and determines must-win campaigns and strategies

Perform research and market analysis

Qualities for Success:

Strong hands-on, highly energetic, and relentless sales professional who will hunt and capture new business opportunities

Proactive and Self-starter

Must immerse in the learning of LDS business with high degree of understanding

Successful track record in developing new business development channels

Organizational skills – prioritization, resource allocation, multi-tasking

Negotiating and influential skills

Creative and innovative approach to problem resolution

Computer skills – Proficient level Microsoft Office and Project Management

Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with people at all levels inside and outside the company

Education and Qualifications

7-10 years of demonstrated results in sales and marketing with proven customer relation skills, managing customers as partners

Must have sales experience in aerospace

Bachelor’s degree required in business or engineering, preferably in electrical engineering; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus

Background in lightning protection is a plus

Physical Demands

Ability to travel to customers, manufacturing sites, and trade shows (60-75%)
