Insight Global Space & Launch Market Director in Huntington Beach, California

Job Description

A client in the Southern California area is looking for a Space & Launch Market Director to join their team. This candidate will lead all business development and proposal efforts for the clients Commercial and Privatized Space Unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Development within the Defense or Commercial Space Industry, with a recent focus on Commercial/Private Space Industry. This Director will lead the strategic development and growth of this Business Unit, targeting "New Space Age" opportunities and new government funding avenues through commercial clientele. It is strongly preferred that this candidate come from an Engineering or Technical background, and have been Business Development focused for the last 10-15 years. This candidate will report directly into the VP of Space Programs and the Chief Growth Officer of the company. This position will require 40%-50% travel nationwide.

Pay Range: 175K-220K w/ Bonus Opportunities

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related technical field (Masters Preferred)

10 yrs experience minimum of Business Development within Defense and Commercial/Privatized Space Industry

5 yrs minimum of "New Space Age" or Commercial/Privatized Space Industry experience - finding new government funding avenues, executing proposals

Experience leading proposal development efforts, gathering requirements, and leading proposal teams for successful and compliant business capture

Strong understanding of FAR/DFAR regulations and a proven track record of success

Proven track record of successful capture with companies like NASA, BlueOrigin, SpaceX, Virgin Galactic, RocketLab, Relativity Space, FireFly, Axiom, etc.

Willing to travel up to 50% null
