Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Months/Years of Experience:

One (1) year of applicable experience in engineering technical work that developed skills in making measurements using test instruments and computing or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military/technical school.

Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen. A valid driver's license. Must have or be able to acquire a DoD security clearance. Must be certified (or capable of being certified within 2 years) to Level II of the radiographic requirements of ASNT (TC1A) or equivalent. Flexible to work overtime to meet schedule deadlines. Must be able to understand and follow safety SOP and work procedures. Must be self-motivated, dependable, possess written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work within a team environment. Should be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and capable of lifting 50 lbs. Must be capable of obtaining Group II Level Explosive Certification and be willing to work in a hazardous environment. The ability to work safely and efficiently is a must.

Desired Qualifications:

No certifications needed but experience with operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), and other various Metrology instruments (i.e. gages, calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and dimensional verification equipment) is a plus. Should be able to read, understand and support the development of detailed work procedures as well as use and operate typical mechanical tools. Associate of Science degree from an accredited college/university preferred. Preference will be given to applicant who possess an active Security Clearance, valid driver's license and who are high-energy, fast paced, driven, organized and attentive to detail. Willingness to work across the contract on multiple projects with flexibility to schedule.

Duties:

Work as a valued member with Quality, Safety and Engineering to support ongoing test processes of military assets including systems and components that are in accordance with customer requirements. You will perform Mass Properties Measurements (weight, center of gravity, moments of inertia) on various test items and flight hardware fielded by the Army. You will modify test items and fixtures to support ongoing testing. Operate CMM and other various Metrology instruments (gauges, calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and dimensional verification equipment). Collects, collates, and reports data results in required formats. Performs basic maintenance and calibration on inspection equipment. Follow all Standing Operating Procedures (SOP), work procedures, Test Safety Risk Assessments (TSRA) and safety guidelines. Note: Job orientation and on the job, training will be provided. Collaborate with teammates in establishing best practices and workplace organization. Other duties as assigned.
