Summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Field Engineer to work on multiple DoD programs. The selected candidate will support the design, build, troubleshooting and maintenance of Apache Fire Control Radar Off Aircraft Test Set and Navy Part Task trainers. #LI-MJ1

What you will do

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.

  • Assist in the build, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems and interfacing cables both on site and remotely.

  • Support the design, build, and maintenance of the hardware and operating systems on multiple platforms/programs.

  • Perform routine maintenance activities, including basic troubleshooting and installation of modifications/upgrades.

  • Good understanding of system design documentation as well as wiring diagrams and schematics.

  • Conduct sustainment activities at the Huntsville office as well as travel to customer sites, as required.

  • Explore ways to improve current designs and improve our customer support activities.

  • Must be proficient in creating reports and presentations with Microsoft Office 365 products.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to clients, stakeholders, and team members in a clear and concise manner.

What you must have

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

  • Must be proficient at troubleshooting, soldering and wire repairs as well as proficient with using a multimeter and Oscilloscope,

  • Must be a self-starter able to work independently or as part of a larger professional team.

  • Must have or have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Must be willing to travel occasionally

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous experience working with DoD or military projects.

  • Experience with test equipment (Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, etc).

  • Strong ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams. schematics, and design documentation.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
