Primary Function

This position is responsible for using data and analytics to drive HR and business results; assisting in the development of HR strategies that utilize internal and external information to identify quantifiable and actionable opportunities for improvement. Reporting, monitoring, analyzing, and communicating business results to a variety of audiences, in addition to collaborating on strategic initiatives to ensure optimal results. Essential Duties

  • Partner with the HR Director on internal audits and coordinate responses to compliance reviews and audits conducted by state and federal agencies.
  • This position will be responsible for the use of data and analytics to drive HR and business results; helping to develop HR strategy to leverage internal and external information to identify quantifiable and actionable improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze benefits data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement for monthly metrics.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to conduct routine audits that have been identified in order to review SCA compliance with pay, benefits, job profile, wage determination, sick and vacation leave payouts.
  • Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making related to benefits programs.
  • Responsible for reporting, monitoring, analyzing data and trends, and communicating these business results across various audiences and partnering on strategic initiatives to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of open enrollment periods and other benefits-related initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to HR colleagues, employees, and management on the use of the HRIS for benefits administration.
  • Performs complex analysis using broad HR data including but not limited to Workday, Wage data, Salary data, Benefits data, Financial data, various facilities data, hiring data, performance data and external HR benchmarking data.
  • Works closely with leaders in HR functional groups and other stakeholders using expertise, collaboration and data analysis to understand our people processes, identify data needs, gather requirements and analyze data to drive improvement and build tools that help inform decision-making.
  • Manages the development of highly complex and intricate HR models, forecasts, proposals, presentations and performance measures to provide confidence to executives regarding financial decisions for a FG or PG with significant scope and a high level of business complexity.
  • Clearly communicates statistical analyses, results, and implications to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Runs and interprets Workday reports independently and merge the data with other HRIS data and financial sources.
  • Perform administrative audits to analyze data and ensure data integrity between benefit carriers and HRIS System.
  • Assist with special projects that contribute to employee health and well-being initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the HR team members on various projects as required.
  • Performs and assists with internal and external audits.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with benefits administration, including health and welfare plans and 401(k) programs.
  • Knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ACA, Service Contract Act, basic payroll and other relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to analyze large HR data sets and transform them into business analytics to inform human capital decision making
  • Experience with data visualization (e.g., tables, charts, graphs)
  • Experience with HR data, HRMS/HRIS systems, specifically Workday, Workday reporting and People Analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excell nt organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with a group.
  • Effective troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve HRIS issues.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in human resources management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field. Four years of experience may be substituted for the degree.
  • Knowledge in SCA and Union contracts preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of HR experience with a focus on data and process management.
  • Advance level experience in Microsoft Excel
  • PHR/SPHR (or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience with Workday HRIS system/application highly desired.
  • Previous experience working with Deltek/Costpoint preferred.
