Applied Research Associates (ARA) currently needs Industrial Sewing Machine OperatorsThe duties of this position will include sewing, joining, reinforcing, and finishing various parts and materials.

Sound hand-eye coordination and a desire to learn is necessary. Able to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly, and safe work area
• The ability to follow instructions verbally, in writing, or in diagrams
• Can lift and move 5 to 20lbs without assistance
• Layout and cut materials using patterns, scissors, and/or cutting equipment
• Visually inspect sub-assemblies and finished goods per quality standards

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail
• US citizen with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong desire to learn
• Interpersonal skills
• Active / current SECRET Clearance from the US Department of Defense.
